It is important that you follow these steps and checks before migrating the user’s files and profile settings with PC Migration Pro:
- Logon to the user’s new computer with their credentials
- Confirm Windows Operating System version on the new computer is correct.
- Install commonly installed applications on new computer (Important that this is done before the migration!)
- Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Outlook and OneDrive)
- Microsoft Teams
- Adobe PDF
- Chrome / Firefox
- Install any other applications
- Review a list from Programs and Features on the old computer and install each application on the computer.
- Check hard drive compatibility
